I want to give some Ram but they wanted 139.95 for a 1gb upgraded strike.
That is way too much money,anyone know where on earth I can buy good cheap priced parts for an XP

Don't step too cheap when buying RAM. Don't even think in the order of overclocking cheap RAM.
Newegg lists user reviews for adjectives their products, so it's usually pretty easy to find something possibly priced that most people are self-satisfied with. It's also undemanding to spot products that are likely to arrive defective, etc...
Just purchased two 1 GB sticks of RAM nearby myself. A little over $100.00 for both.
I would check some Internet sites such as newegg.com or tigerdirect.com. Otherwise, check your local Best Buy. They have the cheapest RAM.
I hold had a great deal of success getting RAM from eBay. Much cheaper than any retail outlet.
