You may own file system problems. Try this:
1) Start / Run
2) enter the correspondence CMD and hit reutnr/enter
3) at the prompt enter (without the quotes)
'chkdsk c: /F' and hit return/enter
type the letter Y when prompted
4) type EXIT hit return/enter
reboot
