Why does modem right to be heard keep on ten days for maximum speed?

My tentative modem - Siemens Speedstream 4100 - came beside a a label: To maximize nouns speed leave this modem on for 10 days after DSL installation is complete. I'm puzzled what could possibly be going on inside an electronic device that would develop over ten days.

Why does modem right to be heard keep on ten days for maximum speed?

It is not for the modem, It is for your DSL smudge to get used to the spanking new modem. If ISP tell u that u will draw from 3mbps, that never means that u will that speed on the first light of day itself. ISP will increase the speed day by afternoon.
ehh, its a warranty thing. routers tend to develop over a few days the more you use them, your computer have to recognize the router, realize it capibility, and create full circle connectivity.
just resembling a boxer and a sports car, they requirements a warm up to impart their maximum power!
why are you worried about it my modem have been on for 18months,my router nearly two years.no trouble what so ever.

so don't worry going on for it.
