Right click on your Desktop

Chose: Arrange Icons By

Make sure Show Desktop Icons is check mottled
maybe you inadvertantly delete the desktop icon, walk to your search computer god on your desktop start bar and find the primary folder, you can either click and drag it to your desktop to restore or you can click the report and add it to desktop that passageway.
