Eather its the Moniter self defective, which has happen to me with indistinguishable problem. Or your video card is faulty. Moniters are cheap, you can buy used and they are only just as good. Although if you put money into a video card you lately soon get a dutiful one which will cost you around $200
i think its time for a current pc
Tried a different monitor or video card? Eaither, esp the card, could be discouraging.
take the workstation back to the place you bought it from and put in the picture them

they shall fix it for u..

plus the pc is supposed to come near a warranty since u said its a fairly bright pc..

so purely call them and speak about HP technicians or u can call the place you bought the notebook from and they are supposed to fix it for u ..
maybe is a motherboard error

sometimes it happends when the computer win hit too hard

or possibly something bad happend inside of your computer

similar to the fans getting stuck or something that dont tolerate the air flow

so the procesor get coler and works faster

if the proccesor gets too melt the computer stop working

hehe good luck
hp. there's the first mistake.
