It could be your bios mobile on your motherboard.
If you have XP and it is connected to the internet it should do this automatically.



Double click on the clock, stir to the Internet Time tab, click the Automatically sync with internet time server tab and select a time server (mine uses time.window.com) and all should work.

Could be the battery on the motherboard that controls the clock and CMOS. Most are CR2032. You can buy these outstandingly cheaply on E Bay.

Is it always starting at midday on January 1st 1980? That's a battery problem. Maplin do replacement battery for around lb2. The most common species is CR2032. Be careful when you are installing the freestyle and use a folded tissue - If you handle it between your fingers, the battery-operated can discharge and it will be useless.



If the time seems to be slow on the Windows assignment bar clock, afterwards you need to set-up the automatic time adjust surrounded by the control panel. You pick a time server and set the refresh time.



You inevitability to be connected to the internet for this to work - so if you switch off your router or broadband modem, it will not other update the time.
You have to set it to automatic in the past it can do this in the settings.
