Which is better?

nvidia geforce 7600 gt 256mb ddr3 or 7600 gs 512 mb ddr2

Which is better?

256Mb ddr3 BEATS 512Mb ddr2. 7600GS is slow because it is freshly a downclocked GT. Don't buy any card with ddr2. Otherwise you will regret it.
7600 gs 512mb ddr2 is better because 512 technique there is more bump..
7600GT is probably better even with smaller quantity ram. Check out this site for a huge inventory of video card comparisions.

Besides, most GS models suck. More ram is not other better, it also depends on the fill rate, GPU clock speed and other factor.

I run and 8600 GT now near 256MB ram, and it crushes my second video card that had 512 because it's a newer model next to a faster core clock. If you can afford an 8600GT @ about $130, i'd shift for that, and you'll be able to run in the order of any game contained by high detail short spending $400 on the latest 8800's
poorly take the 512mb.

speed is something but i believe 512 will ultimate longer and it will be fast ample
I would also say the GT- depite have less bump, it has GDDR3 instead of the much elder GDDR2. Also, the 7600 GT scored better contained by benchmarking according to http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?...
