Which is better for a home base workstation, ubuntu or red hat9?

Ubuntu.



Red Hat 9 is ancient and hasn't be supported for over 3 years. Fedora is its replacement and is currently on version 7. I'd still suggest Ubuntu over it though.
ubuntu is a favorite for most I would deduce if you prefer linux
