Where do you plug surrounded by a firewire into my computer?

I own windows XP and I thought that it pluged into usb



so I go to the store and got a card bus where on earth does that go?



I own a dell computer



the card bus is a nextech2

Oi.. good luck upgrading a dell man. Everything on those pieces of cr... computers are proprietary. Meaning be completely careful when switching things around. You might wanna send for Dell.. seriously.
Firewire is the same as IEEE 1394.



These days, you probably inevitability to install a Firewire card into a PCI slot.



It's the same slot you would plug an audio or video card into, on the inside of your computer, that lines up next to the slots on the back of your computer tower.

usb and ieee 1394 (firewire) are two different plugs. more than likely if you own gotten your computer recently your computer come with usb 2.0, any in the front of your tower or within the back. you will enjoy to check. installing the card is as easy as reading the directions. but if you enjoy never done this before i would ask for facilitate.
