Say I download a movie that's.. oh.. 1.1411gb (I know that's really specific.. but it's for the point of this question). I keep watch on it, and then desire to delete it--drag and drop it into the once empty recycle bin, then click Empty the Recycling Bin. Will I draw from all 1.1411gb worth of disk space rear?



I'm running on Windows Vista, if that helps any. (Or does it not event.. D:!)

It doesn't matter, and yes the disk space will return. But if it doesn't you can try running disk cleanup and click on the pick that says adjectives files on this computer. Then select c: drive. Then go to the advanced tab and click on delete backup and shadow copies. That should free up quite a bit.
if it's a downloaded movie, you will achieve all the disk space subsidise, it's not like installing a program wherein secret files are installed in your PC

I don't know if your hard drive is special or unusual, but I enjoy a SATA hard drive and I didn't have need of any drivers or anything for it to work with any reworked copy of Linux I've used (Fedora and Ubuntu distros, mostly). Compare that to Windows XP, which needed me to provide it the drivers during the installation. Unless you have a one attachment to RHEL (like, you paid for it or something), try Ubuntu. Good luck!

I think you will have need of at least 2.6 kernel for it to detect your SATA drives otherwise you will call for a driver which can get messy.

Get the 'latest' variation of RHEL or download Fedora 7 (RedHat spinoff) which supports SATA 'out of the box'.

On these external hard drives, they simply contain files and no operating system. You simply hook them to your main contraption via USB or Firewire, go to My Computer, and they will show up close to your other drives (C:, D:, etc.). Then you can dig down into it approaching any other drive.

You can buy an external easier said than done drive, which is the hard drive and a concrete drive enclosure sold as a single part.



Or you can buy a hard drive (internal) and a not easy drive enclosure and put the former inside the then to make an external tricky drive.



An external hard drive is only like a floppy disk or a USB memory stick. You can copy files to and from it. The most important difference between the three is the storage capacity.

Nope. All data will (should) still remain on the complicated drive. When you install it in the other computer, cause sure that it is jumpered as Slave, though. Also, if the primary drive in that other computer have never had another drive installed near it, you may have to renovation the jumper setting on the primary drive as resourcefully, to Master with Slave.
You will not lose any info by moving the drive to another laptop. The data is written to the drive. Just variety sure to make it the slave drive on the other notebook. Good luck!

First label sure you are inserting the IDE cable into the motherboard and the hard drive contained by the correct orientation. It is sometimes possible to carry the cable into the slots upside down on the hard drive especially. Or are you using SATA?



Any article of the motherboard can go fruitless for many reason, including static discharge, power surge, defective components on the motherboard, or just broken connections on the motherboard. In certainty, check the pins in that slot on the motherboard as capably, to make sure none are bent over or something.

I own an Intel Core Duo iMac and I have purchased some CD-RWs. When I own burned a couple of files onto them I can't seem to know how to erase or rewrite.
