This is a completely hard entry to find out, but from watching tests on youtube and reviews from pcmagazine I would own to say the Mac.



PCmagazine said within an article around the beginning of 2006 roughly speaking the intel Macs being the worlds fastest Windows PCs.



They adjectives use pretty much the same hardware, the really difference immediately is how manufactures design it adjectives together, and how the OS vender designs there Operating System. Right Now if you compare Vista vs. Mac OS X, OS X Tiger win, but the Leopard beta is about impossible to tell apart as Vista.
apple 100% runs super fast and it still can run window.
Not one of them...creating your own at a computer shop is much more efficient because creating your own does not go away you with a proprietary motherboard (in which you cannot upgrade lacking the company's help) but if you must go beside a company Alienware is an exellent company because they do not use proprietary motherboards. Making Upgrades much more possible and faster.

ibm tend to have moderately reliable durable laptops for a premium

dell is the walmart of computers, trying to get it as cheap as possible

hp is alot resembling dell, but they are a bit more comparable to costco or target i guess

apple is like the Mercedes-Benz of computers, looking pretty fashionable, and it aims to be as simple as possible



gig wise, you'll find more bang for your buck by going hp, but if you run with apple, you'll catch some pretty cool software from apple with your bright lappy
